Nebraska Marriage Records Search
Nebraska marriage records are not open to the public at the state level and can only be accessed by the registrant, immediate family members or a legal representative for a legal purpose. Nebraska marriage records are also managed at county level.
For marriage records since January 1909 to the present, copies of Nebraska marriage records are available for purchase from both the State Vital Records Office and the County Clerk's Office in the county where the marriage license was issued. Marriage records prior to 1909 are only available directly from the County Clerk's Office or from the Nebraska State Historical Society.
Certified copies of Nebraska marriage certificates are available by mail order for $16 with a check or money order made payable to the Vital Records' Office, along with a photocopy of the current government-issued photo ID, a self-addressed stamped business size envelope and a completed application sent to the following address:
