Missouri Marriage Records Search

Missouri marriage records are typically available as part of the public record and managed at the county level. The State Office maintains only the reports of marriage records.

Certified copies of Missouri marriage licenses are available for purchase directly from the County Recorder of Deeds in the county where the license was issued. The State Office of Vital Records can only provide copies of marriage statements since July 1948 to the present and only to the registrant, immediate family members, legal representatives or other legal party.

Certified copies of Missouri marriage statements are available by mail order for $15 with a check or money order made payable to the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, along with a self-addressed stamped legal size envelope and a completed and notarized application sent to the following address:

Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services
Bureau of Vital Records
P.O. Box 570
Jefferson City, MO 65102-0570
Tel: (573) 751-6387

You may also go to the State Office of Vital Records in person to request a copy of a Missouri marriage statement.
