Massachusetts Marriage Records Search
For marriage records since 1926 to the present, copies of Massachusetts marriage certificates are available for purchase from both the State Office of Vital Records & Statistics and the Municipal Clerk's Office in the municipality where the marriage occurred. Marriage records prior to 1926 or recent marriage records (within the first 90 days) are only available directly from the Municipal Clerk's Office. Marriage records for 1841-1925 are also available from the Massachusetts State Archives.
Certified copies of Massachusetts marriage records are available by mail order for $32 with a check or money order made payable to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, along with a photocopy of a government-issued ID, a self-addressed, stamped, business-letter-sized envelope and a completed application sent to the following address:
