Illinois Marriage Records Search
Certified copies of Illinois marriage records are available for purchase directly from the County Clerk and Recorder Office in the county where the marriage license was issued. The State Vital Records Office can only provide a verification of marriage records since January 1962 to the present.
Verifications of Illinois marriage records are available by mail order for $5 with a check or money order made payable to the Illinois Department of Public Health, along with a copy of a valid government-issued photo ID and a completed application sent to the following address:

Verifications of Illinois marriage records are also available by fax order for $5 with a credit card information, daytime phone number, return address, written signature along with a copy of valid government-issued photo ID and a completed application sent to: 217-523-2648. There is an additional $12.95 handling fee.
