Delaware Marriage Records Search
Delaware marriage records are not open to the public for 40 years after the event at the state level and can only be accessed by the registrant, immediate family members, a legal guardian or a legal representative. Delaware marriage records are also managed at the county level.
For marriage records since 1974 to the present, certified copies of Delaware marriage records are available for purchase directly from the State Vital Statistics Office. Marriage records prior to 1974 are available directly from the Delaware Public Archives. Delaware marriage records are also available from the county where the marriage license was issued.
Certified copies of Delaware marriage certificates are available by mail order for $25 with a check or money order made payable to the Office of Vital Statistics along with a copy of official valid photo ID and a completed application sent to the following address:
