Connecticut Marriage Records Search
Connecticut marriage records are typically available as part of the public record and are managed at both the state and Town/City level.
For marriage records since July 1, 1897 to the present, copies of Connecticut marriage certificates are available for purchase from both the State Vital Records Office and the Town/City Vital Records Office in the municipality where the marriage occurred. Marriage records prior to July 1, 1897 or recent marriage records (within the first four months) are only available directly from the Town/City Vital Records Office.
Certified copies of Connecticut marriage certificates are available by mail order for $20 with a postal money order made payable to the Treasurer, State of Connecticut along with a completed application sent to the following address:
