Find People on Facebook!
Facebook is one of the most visited websites in the world with nearly 1.8 billion registered users. As a result, it’s often one of the first places people check when they’re trying to find someone (or at least want to know what they’re up to).
It’s a good first step for anyone who is interested in checking the backstory of people met on an online dating site and employers increasingly search for the Facebook profiles of hopeful applicants before making their hiring decision.
Even lawyers, private investigators and other members of law enforcement find people on Facebook! Since searches are free (and easy!), finding people on Facebook takes just a couple of steps:
Step One – Create a Facebook Account
The first step for finding people on Facebook is to create your own account (if you haven’t already). Some Facebook pages are only viewable when you’re logged in, so that’s a must! It takes five minutes to set up an account and it’s free.
Step Two – Use the Search Facebook feature
Once you’re on your account, find the box that looks something like this:
To make it easier to find people, Facebook not only allows you to search by name, but also by nickname or maiden name (when applicable). This way, if the person you’re looking for is on Facebook and wants to be found, you should be able to find them in just a click.
Unfortunately, there are some limitations. Not everyone is on Facebook and – for those that are – not all Facebook users have their privacy settings low enough for you to easily find them.
If you do find the person you’re looking for, the “public” information on their profile won’t necessarily tell you what you need to know unless you send them a friend request (and they accept). There a number of good reasons why you might prefer to be a bit more discrete while you’re searching, but it’s getting increasingly hard to use Facebook anonymously.
Fortunately, if you can’t find the person you’re looking for on Facebook (or would rather find people a bit more anonymously), USA Trace can help you find anyone in the US. With as little as a name and last known state, you’ll can get free, instant preview results to get an idea of the information that’s available.
You can even try a free search below:
