I sent a private message to usa trace not to long ago. Maybe someone else out there has some answers as well. My daughter Anitrah Anastasia Horrocks went to stay with her father for six months in October of 1995. She was 2 1/2 years old at the time. Today she is 11 years and 4 months old. I found out her father had gotten married in colorado spings colorado and as soon as I was closing in on him his relatives informed him and he moved again. We were never married and legal paternity and custody was never established in a court of law. When I contacted colorado springs police they said that whoever has her has her. His name is Tony Ray Horrocks born in August of 1969. Wife is Cynthia Scott Horrocks. Married in Douglas county of colorado springs. Ive bought all types of detective software and surfed the net for a long time. I know my daughters social and when I tried to trace her I was told they would not trace her because she is a minor. I contacted social security and they said all they could do is forward a letter to her and hope they respond. I told them if they knew I was closing in again he would move again. Recently I found a law that said if the childs parents were never married and paternity was not confirmed by scientific means that the mother has sole custody. That would be me. Even if his name is on the birth certificate that does not establish paternity.
Can anyone help? Im all out of resources. Additional information- when he took her for that six months he was in Salt Lake City Utah. When I went to get her. They were just gone. No one would help me. He is not trying to hurt me. I know he loves her very much and he is just afraid of loosing her himself. She is my daughter as well. She has a brother she has never met and a brother she probably doesnt remember. Were military and probably moving to Hawaii within the next year and my chances of seeing her after the move would be extremely slim. Last edited by lady88; June 1st, 2004 at 09:59 PM. I have the same situation. My ex-husband took my two children in October of 1993 from Colorado Springs, on a short visit to Orlando. He never returned them to me, so I packed my bags and went to Florida to find them. I did find them in 1995 and found out he was remarried. Everything was fine for a while- then he vanished again right after Thanksgiving 1997. The police won't do anything, and on top of it all, he filed fraudulent documents in court stating that I abandoned them! I ran a search through lexus nexus and found them in Wyoming. I can't do anything at this point, except file for custody and force him into court. They were very young when they vanished- and I am SURE if I filed for complete custody, it wouldn't be healthy for them mentally. I would suggest emailing lexus nexus about your situation (they are very good), and then quickly filing for custody without his knowledge. In the proceedings make sure you let them know that you are concerned for her mental state, and would be willing to share custody for that purpose only.

Trace though the wife. She can still use her maiden name. For phone, rentals etc. A Cynthia Horrocks lives at 2139 Carraway St in Birmingham Alabama 32535.

If you have your daughter's SSN, then file your taxes and claim her as a dependent. What will happen is that you will receive a notice saying that someone else is claiming that child. Then you can subpoena the person's information from the IRS. If you call them and explain the situation, you may just get a sympathetic ear and get the info over the phone. Good luck.

I havent recieved any private messages from you, if that is what you were saying. I agree with the person who told yo to claim her under your taxes. that seems like your best bet for now. Or contact your local pilice dept, they can run a trace and see where his current drivers license is from. That is all I can offer for now. Good Luck!
